Early Days

The First Time

I cannot even recall the time
the gods first gave a woman unto me.
But this I know –
I was gathered in her arms
and felt such warmth as I had
never known before.
The silky fullness of her breasts;
so new and strange to me.
An undiscovered world of satisfaction –
                   ecstasy!
My face was pressed
so close into that soft, delicious place.
My mouth searched ardently.

And then, I’m sure
my mother must have sung
a lullaby to me.
